Require a Full Time Outreach Key Worker

 based in Poole 

The post holder will support clients, employees and Volunteer Advisors within the EDAS Poole Services, the post holder will be supporting clients and maintaining the care and delivery of their treatment journey within the EDAS adult services programme.  The Poole Services Key Worker will be the first point of call to undertake home & hospital visits for clients who are unable to access centre or satellite provision.  The successful candidate will carry a case-load and provide structured interventions in both one-to-one and group work settings. They will be expected to contribute to ensuring that high quality services are delivered consistently to substance users that adhere to best practice guidelines.

The applicants will be required to have:

•          To have experience of working substance misusers.

•          To have an understanding of the relapse prevention and aftercare process

•          To have attended and completed a recognised counselling/addiction skills course

•          To have a good knowledge and experience of group work

•          To be able to negotiate and work to agreed care plans

•          To have a person-centred approach with an understanding of all philosophies of recovery.

•          Familiarity with a range of interventions.

•          Experience of liaison with other services.

•          Experienced in using own initiative and working under pressure to meet objectives.

•          IT Skills including inputting and case management.

•          Use of own car (clean diving licence)

•          Supervision Skills

 Hours: 37. 5 hours per week to include some evening and Saturdays on a rotational basis.

Salary Scale :P3-P12  -  £22409 - £25109

Applicants must be at least 2 years in recovery, if applicable.

All posts will be subject to a satisfactory DBS enhanced disclosure.
