ADAPT - Advanced Development and Professional Training

The Adapt training team is driven by the belief that everybody deserves to be treated with compassion and respect, whatever their starting point. We provide short workshop based courses, fully accredited courses, and bespoke training packages for all needs.

Our Training and Education Service has a wealth of experience in designing, delivering and supporting organisations and individuals in gaining new knowledge or improving existing knowledge in all areas connected to substance misuse and associated fields. All Adapt Training facilitators have a background of working within drug treatment and mental health counselling and have years of first-hand experience to underpin their teaching ability.

Volunteering

Anyone wishing to train as a volunteer or wishing to work within drug treatment services will find appropriate courses within EDAS, for example, The Certificate in Applied Therapeutic Skills course provides an excellent foundation for those wishing to work as a volunteer or professional in the field of addiction therapy. The Access to HE Diploma ‘Practitioner in Substance Misuse’ is ideal for those wishing to strengthen and deepen their knowledge in the field of substance misuse whilst gaining a qualification that will prepare them for undergraduate study in any area of Health and Social Care.
