The aim of these qualifications is to provide learners with an introductory overview of healthy living. It deals with issues including basic concepts in healthy eating, a balanced diet, the maintenance of a healthy diet, food labels and activity and exercise. Our Healthy Living Course is fully accredited by Ascentis.
You'll also learn how to prepare deliciously nutritious recipes, understand how to keep a healthy body weight, look into the requirements of a healthy diet, and understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
With the help of our certified personal trainer you'll have the opportunity to learn effective ways of keeping your body healthy whilst building endurance and strength through physical exercise. Our trainer will devise a personalised exercise and nutrition plan for you, completely tailored to your specific goals and needs.
With group training classes, you'll learn proper technique and a variety of exercises to help you introduce physical activity into your daily life alongside healthy eating habits.
Classes take place on Wednesdays from 10:00am to 11:30am.
Delivered at the EDAS Training Room 54a Ashley Road, Parkstone, Poole, Dorset BH14 9BN.
If you are aged 16+ and registered as a current service user with EDAS there is no cost to join the programme.
For external participants, the course fees are £295.00 (to include accredited Level 1 & Level 2 Healthy Living Awards, personal training plan, and exercise sessions).
Online multiple-choice assessment to be completed at end of the course.
