Learn the most important concepts of healthy living: balanced nutrition, maintaining a healthy diet and healthy body weight, understanding complex macronutrients, and staying physically active.
The course takes place over a period of six weeks and is open to everyone.
6-week course taking place on Thursdays at the EDAS Learning Centre 1pm to 3pm

The aim of the Healthy Living course is to provide learners with an introductory overview of healthy living. It deals with issues including basic concepts in healthy eating, a balanced diet, the maintenance of a healthy diet, food labels and activity and exercise. Our Healthy Living Course is fully accredited by Ascentis.
You'll also learn how to prepare deliciously nutritious recipes, understand how to keep a healthy body weight, look into the requirements of a healthy, balanced diet, and understand the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
You'll have the opportunity to learn effective ways of keeping your body healthy whilst building endurance and strength through physical exercise.
With group activity classes, you'll learn variety of exercises to help you figure out the best way to introduce physical activity into your daily life alongside healthy eating habits.
Healthy Living open to adults and young people living in the BCP and Dorset areas. There are no special requirements to join.
Participants will sit an online multiple-choice assessment to achieve an Ascentis accredited Level 2 Award in Healthy Living.
