Article Overview: EDAS have joined forces with the charity FareShare to help combat food waste and poverty in the UK. FareShare is a charity who save good food destined for waste from Supermarkets and then send it via their food-cloud app to charities and community groups who transform it into nutritious meals/ food parcels for vulnerable people. The food that is redistributed is fresh, quality and in date surplus from the food industry. EDAS received their first food cloud donation on Tuesday 6th June from Tesco Express and these will continue weekly to coincide with the SMART Drop-ins which will benefit both our service users and the fight against food waste.
